Bunni, a decentralized alternate constructed on Uniswap v4’, paused all good contract features after a safety breach drained an estimated $8.4 million in crypto.
Blockchain safety agency CertiK mentioned the exploit focused BunniHub, Bunni’s primary contract system, and resulted in $2.3 million in losses on Ethereum. An earlier assault on Uniswap Labs’ layer-2 community Unichain pushed whole losses to round $8.4 million. The agency traced the stolen funds to 2 Ethereum wallets.
Bunni’s builders have suspended all contract operations throughout supported networks whereas they examine the incident, in accordance with a social media submit.
“As a precaution, we’ve paused all good contract features on all networks. Our staff is actively investigating and can present updates quickly. Thanks on your persistence,” Bunni’s submit reads.
The alternate runs on Uniswap v4’s “hooks” function, which Uniswap Labs CEO Hayden Adams described as “plugins to customise how swimming pools, swaps, charges, and LP positions work together.”
