Russian Police Arrest Suspect in $3.2M Unlawful Mining Operation: Report

Russia police arrested an individual alleged to have been concerned in a crypto mining rip-off that stole 270 million rubles ($3.2 million) from 100 victims, RBC reported, citing an announcement from the Ministry of Inner Affairs for the Irkutsk Area.

An area resident referred to as the police in February to say he handed an ASIC mining machine to somebody claiming that they had been working a “mining lodge,” with the promise of passive earnings. The 26-year-old suspect and two accomplices are alleged to have bought the tools they obtained and in addition to have saved funds handed over the acquisition of different mining machines.
